Bluegum Hill Guest House is a highly recommended Green Point Bed & Breakfast providing accommodation in 6 guest rooms for anyone visiting the Atlantic Seaboard region.

Peace and tranquillity close to the heart of the city. Merriman Road is a quiet cul de sac, below the Signal Hill Nature Reserve, with its indigenous Bluegum trees, aloes and guinea fowl.

A quick two-minute drive and one can explore South Africa's Mother City, which dates back to April 1652, with its many markets, shops, restaurants, pubs, museums, the Planetarium, the Castle and the famous Company Gardens.

Accommodation

Guesthouse:
Bluegum Hill is a double storey house, with steps leading down to the house, offering panoramic views from the open plan kitchen, dining room, top and bottom lounges, front rooms, balcony and pool deck. Warm and welcoming, lovingly decorated to reflect the colours and culture of South Africa.

Six bedrooms are immaculately clean and well equipped, with hairdryers, wall safes, heaters, extra cotton blankets, radio-alarm clocks and other practicalities.

Penthouse:
This is a separate modern air-conditioned Penthouse Apartment with sweeping views next to the guesthouse with access to the guesthouse pool. There is a double bedroom, large balcony and lift access. There is a basic Kitchen with a microwave and tea / coffee facilities and a large TV with DStv.

Outdoors:
Step out to the sun deck and cool off in the sparkling saltwater pool surrounded by a sub-tropical garden. Take a break from the sun, seat yourself under thatched bomas and savour the moving picture below � ships, yachts, and the ever-changing sky and seas, whilst enjoying a sundowner from our honesty bar.

Breakfast

Enjoy a personally prepared full English and Continental breakfast. In good weather enjoy breakfast served alfresco out on the sunny balcony. Enjoy bottomless cups of Filter coffee or try our selection of teas. During the day help yourself to complimentary, tea, coffee, fruit, biscuits and sweets and enjoy a glass of sherry in the evenings.

Additional Facilities

Enjoy a full one 180 degree of the suburbs below over the Green Point 2010 World Cup Stadium to the entire Table Bay, with its working harbour and the world famous V&A Waterfront and Mouille Point with its Lighthouse and seaside promenade.

On clear days one can see waves breaking on the shoreline of Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela spent his long prison term. Across the Bay, lies Bloubergstrand with the Tygerberg Hills in the background.

From our balcony, guests enjoy planning their route to the sights below.

The Waterfront is just a close 6 minute drive away, 12 minutes to Cape Towns' famous beaches Clifton and Camps Bay and a short 15 minute drive to Table Mountain.
