Christiana Lodge is one of the highly recommended Plettenberg Bay guest houses and provides accommodation in 11 guest rooms for anyone visiting the Garden Route region.

Christiana Lodge is an architect designed lodge in the select area of Solar Beach, between Robberg Beach and the Brakkloof Wetland. Robberg Beach is a 5 minute walk away along a wooden boardwalk and the distance to town is only 4,5 km.

The lodge overlooks a largely unheralded natural feature of the Plettenberg Bay area: the Brakkloof Wetland and broad panoramic views include the imposing bald outcrop of Robberg nature sanctuary and the craggy cliffs of Whale Rock Ridge.

Accommodation

The 11 spacious bedrooms, designed with great attention to detail, are luxurious yet uncluttered with custom made king size beds, crisp white linen and soft furnishings that reflect the best in South African design. Bedrooms are fully equipped with internet access, flat screen television screens with satellite tv, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers, safes and bar fridges. The design of the rooms and balconies also ensures VIP privacy.

Bedrooms are divided into three categories:

Superior:
Eight extra spacious rooms with balconies and views over the wetland, nature area opposite the lodge and Robberg; three of the superior rooms have outdoor showers and one has a private deck with two loungers.

Luxury:
Two spacious rooms with balconies and views over the wetland and nature area opposite the lodge.

Deluxe:
A spacious room with daybed for a child; overlooks the pool area.

Each bathroom is equipped with under floor heating and has both a bath and shower with windows strategically placed over the steel, enamel-coated German baths for a view of the surrounding countryside.

Breakfast and Dining

Breakfast
A sumptuous breakfast includes fruit juice, fresh fruit, home-made muesli, yoghurt, honey, bacon and eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes - as well as pancakes - is served between 08h30 and 10h00.

Dinner
Home-cooked meals are prepared on request.

Public Areas and Pool

The use of space in the rest of the lodge makes for a variety of living areas where guests can kick back: the covered patio adjacent to the lounge, the pool deck, the large, elevated open verandah on the western side or the patio on the northern face - all ideal for a breather after the beach.

To make the most of the spectacular sunsets and intense golden afternoon light that bathes Plettenberg Bay, the Lodge is west facing. The overall effect is of nature - lots of light, sun, warmth and open air, with interior colours and effects that blend into the environment.

Parking

Undercover parking available on the premises.
