About Die Sonvanger

Die Sonvanger is nestled in the Langkloof mountain range and overlooking Die Beloofde Land, it has a 360-degree view of rolling mountains, beautiful dams and mountain aloes peeking out from every angle.

Self Catering Accommodation

Die Sonvanger is a private, two-bedroom, off-the-grid holiday home in Uniondale complete with its own windpump. The main bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom is furnished with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge has an indoor fireplace. At dusk, relax next to the crackling indoor fireplace and enjoy the books and board games provided.

Its doors and windows open up to the wraparound verandah for days spent lounging by the private swimming pool. You can also enjoy the freedom of a private outdoor shower to give you an intimate experience with nature. Outside there is a gas braai and a private swimming pool.

Die Sonvanger does have unlimited WiFi available, but you won't even need it while spending time connecting with friends, family and the nature around you.

Experience

Die Beloofde land is a working farm that houses various farm animals and three dams teeming with bass. Visitors have access to excellent hiking trails in and around the farm. There's never a shortage of nature-filled pastimes. Activities on the farm include:Bass fishing (rods available for hire), Swimming in the dams, Guided hiking trails, Bushman cave (rock paintings) trail, River trail.

Activities outside the farm include Mountain biking on Prince Alfred Route, 4X4 Routes, Art Galleries, Wine Tasting, Day trips to George, Knysna or Oudtshoorn (about an hour and a half drive from the farm).
