Pets

Well behaved dogs, with own bedding & bowls are very welcome with prior arrangement. We regret no Huskies are allowed as our facilities are inadequate for them. Strictly no dogs allowed on the furniture. Note that our pet policy applies to all bookings with dogs.

FISHING

We offer a challenging fly fishing experience in our dams and weirs in our 1km of river. Kick boats / float tubes are encouraged for our big dam.

Catch and Release is preferable though 2 fish are included in the price of the accommodation with any over and above that being charged for. Only fly fishing methods, equipment and barbless hooks are permitted. Float tubes are welcome. Fly fishing tuition can be arranged with prior notice. We regret no day visitors.

Rainbow Trout & Large Mouth Bass make for a year round fly fishing experience.

Activities and Attractions

There are various walks on the farm, notable the waterfall walk (to the base or to the top of the 30m fall, a river walk close to indigenous forest and the longer perimeter walks. These all offer something to bird enthusiasts, especially in the summer.

Parts of the Boschhoek road are used for mountain bike races and joggers and mountain bikers alike enjoy the low traffic the road gets.

Being 20 km from Dullstroom ensures that guests may enjoy the tranquility and complete privacy on the farm and yet be close enough to Dullstroom with its great pubs and shops.
