Kalkfontein Guest Farm is a property for self catering in Beaufort West for up to 8 guests visiting the Karoo region.

Kalkfontein Guest Farm has been in the Hattingh family since 1934; Gert and Julia Hattingh are the third generation to live on this beautiful Karoo farm and will be your friendly hosts. Come and experience true Karoo hospitality, provided in abundance!

At the foot of the Nuveld Mountains time stands still. While being surrounded with Dorper en Merino sheep and a variety of wildlife, one cannot help but enjoy the tranquility of the Karoo and appreciate the important things in life.

Self Catering Accommodation

Make yourself at home in our three bedroom guesthouse that sleeps a total of eight people. Each bedroom is equipped with two single beds (beds can be converted into double beds if required) and there are extra beds in the living room.

There is a fully equipped bathroom with a shower, bath, toilet and basin as well as a separate toilet with basin. The house has a large living space equipped with an indoor braai as well as an outdoor braai.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering with a stove, refrigerator, microwave and cutlery for eight people. DStv is available. For those hot Karoo days a splash pool is provided for your convenience!

Location

Kalkfontein is situated conveniently off the N1 road between Cape Town and Gauteng making it the ideal location for guests visiting nearby towns. Merweville is a small town, well known for its yearly church bazaar held in May. The popular Logan Drama Festival is held in Fraserburg in August every year. About and hours' drive to the west of Fraserburg, you will find Sutherland. This town is home to the South African Observatory, which lies on the Roggeveld plateau, 1600 m above sea level and is the main astronomical centre in Africa.
