Karoo62Escape Bush Lodge offers self-catering accommodation in Ladismith set amid the semi-desert fauna and mountain views of a private nature reserve in the heart of the Klein Karoo.

Self Catering Accommodation

Karoo62Escape Bush Lodge is a stylish getaway, tucked away in a private section of the reserve, with two cottages and a central living space. This secluded lodge, which has a romantic setting, sleeps eight guests in two cottages.

The cottages each have two bedrooms; one furnished with a double bed and the other has twin beds. There is one bathroom in each cottage fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Hairdryers and bathroom amenities are provided.

The elegantly decorated lodge has an open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and includes a gas stove, fridge, kettle and toaster. There is ample crockery, cutlery, glassware and storage space. The living area has a fireplace and opens to a large stoep with a fire pit and a wood-fired hot tub with views of the countryside.

Activities and Attractions

Surrounded by the fynbos-covered Swartberg and Rooiberg ranges, Karoo62Escape invites long hours reading on your stoep or a relaxed get together by the braai. The farm is part of the 14,000 square km Klein Karoo Private Nature Reserve and offers hiking, mountain biking, hunting and 4�4 routes.

The diverse vegetation of the hills and valleys, boasts renosterveld, mountain fynbos, spekboom veld and a variety of indigenous trees. The countryside is home to kudu, eland and duiker as well as wild cats, eagles, owls and various types of snakes.

The towns of Ladismith and Calitzdorp are 7km and 40km away respectively. Attractions in the area include Towerkop Mountain, Towerkop Nature Reserve, Swartberg Mountain Pass, Seweweeks Poort Pass, De Kranz and Boplaas Wines, Cango Caves, MTB trails in Ladismith and a number of restaurants.
