Loerie Cottage @ Somerset Gift is a self catering house offering accommodation in Swellendam at Somerset Gift Getaway Farm. This breathtakingly beautiful farm is situated just outside the historical town of Swellendam in a lush green valley bordering the foothills of the majestic Langeberg Mountain.

Self Catering Accommodation

Loerie Cottage @ Somerset Gift is a lovely holiday cottage in Swellendam set on the spring-fed lake sleeping four guests. The first room is furnished with a double bed and the second room is furnished with twin beds. It has one bathroom inside with a bath and a shower above it.

The cottage has a spacious lounge and dining area, and the main bedroom has a ceramic fireplace making it perfect for a romantic winter getaway. The living area opens out onto a large furnished undercover all weather patio with a fireplace/braai. It has seating for 6 at mealtimes so invite friends staying in one of our other cottages over for a bite.

Loerie Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen. All linen and bath towels are supplied as well as kitchen and bathroom consumables, firewood, blitz, braai grid and tongs. Guests need to bring their own swimming towels.

The setting is stunning, overlooking the spring-fed lake, green pastures and the rolling hills of the Langeberg mountains. Watch your kids swim, fish, canoe, and foefie slide from the comfort of your patio, and it has an outside wood-fired hot-tub from where you can soak up the views.

Uncapped WiFi is available at Loerie Cottage � suitable for emails, online banking or surfing the Net � please note it is not suitable for movie streaming or Zoom meetings.

Pets

Pets are welcome with prior arrangement and will be charged a fee of R200 per pet.

Experience

The setting is simply idyllic, with stunning 5 star views of the mountain, green pastures where cattle and horses graze, a serene spring-fed lake, and the lovely Buffeljags River which runs the length of the farm.

The farm has ownership rights to a few thousand hectares of pristine mountain ground with trails through indigenous forest and fynbos to magical mountain valleys, waterfalls and rock pools. This truly is a paradise for all.
