Loerie Lodge in Phalaborwa, Limpopo (original) (raw)

Loerie Lodge is a highly recommended Phalaborwa Bed & Breakfast providing accommodation in 7 guest rooms for anyone visiting the Valley of the Olifants region.

About Loerie Lodge

We offer 14 affordable garden units as a peaceful home base for all our loyal, regular clients and welcome new visitors to our international guest house, whether it is for sport, business or just touring the national parks and participating in other wild life activities of the region.

Big blue skies and all year round sun make Phalaborwa the commercial and tourist centre of the Limpopo Lowveld serviced by two commercial flights a day from Johannesburg. The harmony of man and nature living together, adjacent to the Kruger National Park is equal to living in the park but with all the conveniences of a modern town. It is for this reason that many visitors return to live and retire here.

ACCOMMODATION

We have a selection of different rooms to meet your requirements and style. Each with its own individual dcor furnished with either twin singles, double, queen or king size base sets, giving visitors a choice of several combinations.

Each en-suite unit has its own veranda with separate sliding glass doors into the gardens and all are supplied with air-conditioners, ceiling fans, TV's, and (m-net and dstv channels). They are equipped with fridges, tea and coffee making facilities, telephones, and dressing table / work surfaces, all within our free ADSL broadband wireless network.

SMOKING

We have a no smoking policy' in all rooms. However there are tables and chairs with ashtrays outside each unit. And for those who like their breakfast with a cigarette, we permit this on our open sided pool verandah outside the dining room.

FACILITIES

Our English-style breakfast is served daily from 06:15 to 08:00. Packed meals are available on request and supper can be served by prior arrangement. (Please book before midday).

There is percolated coffee, a selection of different teas, several brands of instant coffee as well as drinking chocolate and Cup a Soup' always available in the dining room, to suit most people's tastes.

Our cocktail bar is stocked with limited popular spirits, most local beers and a small selection of SA wines together with international carbonated cool drinks. The cocktail bar works on an honesty' basis by writing up in a book supplied.

Next to the main tropical palm pool and dining room is our formal Guest Veranda with tables and chairs for casual relaxation and of course one of three BBQ's on the property. Here we have information boards, tourism brochures and free Broadband Internet and it is not unusual to see at least three or four lap tops logged on.
