Steeped in history, Au d' Brandy Route is located on Arbeid Adelt farm, which was part of the original farm De Doorns, one of the first four farms to be in the Hex River Valley in the year 1731.

Matroosberg Cottage in De Doorns accommodates two adults in an open-plan unit which is furnished with a double bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

Guests can experience all four seasons in the Hex River Valley. Summer is the ideal time to visit a packing shed and taste the grapes. The valley's scenery shows the splendor of each season; hot, green summers, brown, leather patch-blanket autumns, cold, snowy winters and a spring full of color and excitement for the new table grapes season.

Activities in the area include walking trails through the vineyards, hiking trails, rock climbing, golf, wine tasting, 4x4 trails, mountain biking and game farms.
