The Area

Lephalale is a malaria free destination, situated West of the Mogol River, at the foot hills of the Waterberg. It is a fairly new town laid out in 1960 on the farm Waterkloof. The town is well-known for its coal mining; 50% of the country's coal is found here.

Lephalale offers visitors and tourists a wide variety of genuine African tourist attractions and a climate that is conducive to outdoor activities such as the excellent 18 hole Mogol Championship Golf Course, game viewing and bird watching, Big 5 experiences and safari's, hunting trips, Heritage Sites, hiking trails and horse riding.

Summers are hot but not humid and the winters are moderate with pleasant day temperatures.
