Old Rearsby is a highly recommended guest house with self catering option, providing accommodation in Mooi River for anyone visiting the Natal Midlands region.

About Old Rearsby

Old Rearsby is an established bed & breakfast in the Natal Midlands, bordering on Hartford house, and Summerhill horse stud farm, that caters for guests who are in search of comfortable, country style hospitality.

Our historic 100 year old farm consists of a gracious Victorian farmhouse, complete with wrap around verandas and broekie lace. Our 3 luxurious cottages are set in 2 acres of manicured English country garden, guarded by graceful old oak trees, with an unobstructed view of the magnificent Giant's Castle mountain range.

ACCOMMODATION

Our well appointed cottages are equipped with microwaves, fridges, tea & coffee facilities, electric blankets, log fireplaces (ideal for romantic winter evenings), and have their own private veranda, and barbeque facilities. Our linen is all the softest white percale, topped with duck down pillows.

Old Rearsby has the best vantage point from which to see the glorious dawn and sunset colours, whilst sipping on wine selected from our wine cellar.

BREAKFAST

Wake up to the sound of the country and enjoy one of our legendary breakfasts, served in the farmhouse dining room, in front of a roaring log fire. We do cater for vegetarians, and grow our own organic vegetables on the farm. Our home grown, free range chickens supply us with lovely farm fresh eggs, and our milk is collected daily from our neighbouring dairy farmer.

Additional Facilities

Secure on site parking
Cycling paths
Golf course nearby (Gowrie, Boschhoek)
Variety of bird species on property.
