Olyf Guest Cottage offers self-catering accommodation in Bloemfontein located on a smallholding in Groenvlei. The air-conditioned cottage is 11km from the University of the Free State and 20km from Bram Fischer International Airport.

Self Catering Accommodation

Olyf Guest Cottage has one bedroom furnished with a King-size bed and a double bed. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. Bathrobes, slippers and complimentary toiletries are provided.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering and the lounge is comfortably furnished including a fireplace. There is unlimited Wi-Fi and a TV with selected DStv channels.

The living area opens up onto a lovely patio area which has an oak table with benches that overlook the endless grasslands.

Braai facilities, a fire pit and wood fired hot tub complete the picture. (There is an additional daily fee for the hot tub).

Attractions

While in Bloemfontein, guests can make the most of the numerous cultural activities on offer. You can do a tour of the Sand du Plessis Theatre which is one of the world's most modern and technically advanced theatres, or visit Oliewenhuis Art Gallery, a neo-Cape Dutch manor house that has been declared a national museum.

Wander through the gardens of the art gallery where state presidents stayed on their visits to the city, and unwind on the rolling lawns, or at the tea garden and restaurant. Nature lovers will enjoy visiting the beautiful Botanical Gardens, which is the only one of its kind in the Free State, as well as the State President Swart Park and King's Park and Zoo.

A trip to the Naval Hill & Franklin Reserve is a must. The flat-topped hill affords an unrivalled view over Bloemfontein, while the plains boast a variety of giraffe, springbuck, ostrich, and buffalo roaming freely.
