Oyster Creek Holiday Home is a 4 star graded property offering Knysna accommodation for up to 12 guests.

Surrounded by the Knysna Lagoon with a spectacular view of The Heads, this intimate, luxury lodge can sleep up to twelve people on a self catering basis. The lodge is located between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town in the area called the Garden Route of South Africa.

Self Catering Accommodation

Oyster Creek Lodge consists of five rooms upstairs and one room on the ground level. There is one room with a King-size bed, three with Queen-size beds and one with two single beds. The downstairs room has a double bed.

All rooms have an en-suite bathroom and a TV with DStv / satellite channels.

The inspiration for the Lodge's decor is largely drawn from the surrounding natural beauty of the Knysna Forest and is exactly what one would come to expect from our four star Tourism Council and AA Superior accredited lodge.

Spend your evenings lazing around the fireplace or enjoying a traditional South African braai. There is also a splash pool.

The lounge area is equipped with a plasma screen TV and DStv for all movie and sports channels. The well equipped kitchen offers modern facilities for a comfortable self catering stay.

Activities and Attractions

We are within driving distance to all of Knysna's many attractions; there's lots to see and do when staying at Oyster Creek Lodge. Knysna is home to several championship golf courses, the beautiful scenery of the Knysna Heads and Lagoon, forest elephants and of course, the well known Oyster Festival. Outdoor activities include swimming, bird watching, boating, canoeing, fishing and mountain bike riding, world class restaurants and shops, and viewing the amazing scenery on the many drives.

The Knysna Heads:
Go for a walk along the Heads and see the panoramic views of the town and lagoon. A ferry ride across the Lagoon is a great way to see the Knysna Heads and visit the Featherbed Nature Reserve.

Beaches:
The coast surrounding Knysna has some really beautiful places to visit for the day. Visit Brenton-on-Sea, Buffalo Bay, Bollard Bay on Leisure Isle and the beach and estuary at Noetzie.

Whale and dolphin watching:
The Knysna coastline is home to one of the highest diversity of marine mammals in the world, including whales and dolphins.

Abseiling:
Knysna has awesome scenery and what better way to experience it then abseiling the cliffs at the Heads.

Diving:
Diving along the Knysna coastline is a great experience. Contact a local dive shop for information.

Cycling and mountain biking:
Knysna offers cyclists some great mountain bike trails.

Sailing:
With over 18km� of lagoon and a tidal system of over 1.7m (five feet) Knysna draws sailors from far and wide who enjoy swapping stories at the third oldest yacht club in South Africa, with its most hospitable �bar'.

Elephant Park:
This experience is somewhat of a closer kind than at Kruger or Addo � visitors are allowed to touch and feed the elephants: Harry, Sally and Duma.

Horse riding:
Knysna offers breathtaking trails. There are a number of riding schools in the area catering for both the novice and experienced riders. Each school offers its own unique horse riding trail. Choose from forest, coastal, fynbos and mountain trails.
