Situated just a few steps from the beach, Shades at Mary-Jean offers comfortable and unique self-catering accommodation in Britannia Bay. Slow down, relax and enjoy the breath-taking sunsets, walks on the beach and fun in the sun. The house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it perfect for families and friends on holiday together.

Self Catering Accommodation

The holiday house in Britannia Bay can accommodate up to seven in three bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin. The second and third bedrooms are both furnished with a double bed; one has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The third bedroom makes use of a separate bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet and basin. Bath towels are provided but must not be taken to the beach.

The main living area downstairs is elegantly decorated and features an open-plan design with a kitchen and lounge area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, fridge-freezer, cutlery and crockery as well as tea and coffee making facilities. A dishwasher and a washing machine are also provided. Leading from the kitchen is a lounge area with comfortable seating, a single sleeper couch, a TV and an indoor braai.

Establishment Facilities

The establishment provides secure parking, a braai area, a spa and Wi-Fi. Cleaning can be arranged on Tuesdays and Saturdays at an extra fee.

Pets

Dogs are allowed by arrangement. Unfortunately, no cats are allowed. Guests are required to bring bedding for their dogs. Please note that a maximum of 2 dogs are allowed and the dogs need to be house trained and are not allowed on the furniture.

Area info

Britannia Bay offers acres of unspoilt, safe beaches. The bay is very protected and the water is slightly warmer than most places on the West Coast, due to the Benguela current not entering the bay. The bay teems with Southern Right and Humpback whales for up to ten months of the year which are always a delight to watch as are the scores of resident dolphins. Attractions include the Cape Columbine Lighthouse, Stompneusbaai Beach, the Cape Gallery, the Paternoster Art Route and kayaking in Paternoster.
