Accommodation

Shibula Solar Safari Lodge boasts unique chalets, each with stunning views perfect for lazy game viewing. Chalets are able to accommodate couples, families or even just a group of friends wanting to getaway. The rooms have a private outdoor shower, tea / coffee station, fireplace and ceiling fan.

Rooms are offered on a full board basis including all meals and beverages in the room on arrival.

On Site Facilities

The lodge has a 20m long swimming pool for refreshing exercise and recreation whilst viewing the wildlife. Our lodge is running completely on solar energy and game drives are conducted in electric-powered vehicles. There is secure parking.

Attractions and Activities

This malaria free reserve is home to the Big 5 as well as a diverse group of plant and animal life, including 350 species of bird. It is a Biosphere Reserve by the United Nations and encompasses some important historic and prehistoric sites. Shibula has access to the entire 36,000ha reserve that borders with Marakele National Park.

Safari drives are totally silent and powered by solar power. Our Landrovers will take you around some of the most vibrant areas of this reserve. No more dirty emissions, noise and disturbance by vehicles � we are totally blended with nature. Two game drives are conducted daily, one in the early morning and one in the late afternoon. Game walks can be made available upon prior arrangement.
