Starboard Boathouse at Coot Club is a property for self catering in Stanford for up to 4 guests visiting the Cape Overberg region.

Starboard Boathouse at Coot Club is set between the green slopes of the Maanschynkop Mountains and a spit of land bordered by the glittering waters of the Walker Bay Nature Reserve. Tucked into the milkwood forest that fringes the southern banks, overlooking the tranquil lagoon waters, and within reach of Walker Bay, where Southern Right whales nurse their calves from July to November, Coot Club offers experiences as diverse as the species it nurtures.

Accommodation

Starboard Boathouse has two bedrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with double beds and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. There is a second smaller twin bedroom with a separate bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

An open plan lounge, dining and kitchen with vaulted ceiling adds to the airy and spacious charm that flows seamlessly out to the lawn, fynbos and lagoon beyond. A wood burning fireplace completes the atmosphere for the chillier nights in winter.

Breakfast is included in the rates and can be enjoyed at the Clubhouse or in your accommodation.

On Site Facilities

The Clubhouse is the hub of Coot Club. Have breakfast on the terrace, as well as lunch, dinner and snacks. Enjoy the lagoon or explore the greater area with assistance from the team who will help you to plan and book other activities that are well off the tourist trail. The Clubhouse also has swimming pools and Wi-Fi.

Attractions

On the edge of the Hermanus Lagoon, and expands to a secluded part of the pristine Walker Bay Beach and Nature Reserve, a perfect position for sand-based whale watching. With 1000 hectares and over 1,500 metres of frontage on the Klein Rivier Lagoon, daytime fun varies from quad biking through fynbos, 4x4 beach excursions, relaxing lagoon cruises, kayaking, guided bird watching, wine tastings and sundowners in special places with panoramic views.
