Swallows Rest at Cornellskop is a property for self catering in Botrivier for up to 2 guests visiting the Cape Overberg region.

Swallows Rest is situated in the picturesque Van der Stel Pass Valley, at Cornellskop Farm Stay, a 118-hectare farm that offers guests a tranquil farm stay alongside the experience of once-in-a-lifetime animal encounters with rescued wildlife.

The large farm dam offers three jetties and guests will always have their own space for swimming (please note that swimming is at your own risk). In summer, guests can bring their own fishing equipment and do some catch-and-release fishing for Tilapia.

Self Catering Accommodation

Swallows Rest, overlooking the dam, this quaint, tiled cottage is stylish and beautifully decorated. Able to accommodate two guests, the cottage has one bedroom furnished with a double bed and a spacious bathroom fitted with a bath, toilet and basin.

The cosy lounge has comfortable seating and a large fireplace to keep the cottage warm during the winter. Firewood and firelighters are supplied, with additional wood available to purchase. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering with a gas stove, a fridge, kettle, toaster as well as cutlery, crockery and glassware. There is a table to enjoy meals at.

The cottage opens onto a veranda overlooking the dam and private braai facilities are available for guests to use. Wi-Fi is available.

Cornellskop Farm Stay is situated 4km from Luddite Wine Farm, 6km from Bot River which offers various shops and restaurants and Beaumont Family Wines, 8km from Wildekrans Wine Estate and 25km from Theewaterskloof Dam.

Attractions include catch-and-release fishing (in season), mountain biking, hiking at Suicide Gorge, bird watching, swimming, picnics, animal encounters and farm tours (with prior arrangement), shopping at the Dassiesfontein Farm Stall, booking a Cape Canopy Tour, visiting the various wine farm in the area or having lunch at the marvellous restaurants nearby.
