Treeferns Trout Lodge in Belfast, Mpumalanga (original) (raw)

Treeferns Trout Lodge is a property for self catering in Belfast for anyone visiting the Highlands Meander region.

Treeferns Trout Lodge offers peace and tranquility on a farm with 15 natural, spring fed dams boasting hungry trout. The lodge is situated halfway between Belfast and Dullstroom. While sitting on the deck of a stone cottage, listen to the sound of fish eagles crying while enjoying the views around you.

The farm has historical significance; in 1901 it was the site of the Slag van Vlakfontein that eventually formed part of the second Anglo Boer War and the farm still has trenches where the soldiers lay waiting.
