About York's View

Escape to the Waterberg, where York's View at Summerplace Game Reserve offers a healthy slice of rural bliss for the entire family. Receive morning greetings from the giraffe or a sunset visit from wild kudu, this is a farm stay like no other!

Accommodation

York's View is a large, old farm house set on the Northern side of the reserve. The home has six bedrooms and can accommodate 12 guests.

All of the bedrooms are furnished with two single beds that can be converted to King-size beds. There are four bathrooms fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. Two of these bathrooms also have a bath and two of them are en-suite. Cotton bed linen and towels are provided.

There is an elegantly decorated and spacious open plan sitting room/kitchen which has everything you need to make it a home away from home. The lounge has a wood burning fireplace for the cooler winter months and the kitchen is equipped with a stove, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is also a 12 seater table to enjoy meals at.

The living area opens to a covered patio which has braai facilities and KolKol wood-fired hot tub. This can be enjoyed hot or cold.

Dining

Meals are available however please give notice if you require the catered option in advance. Breakfasts and lunches can be enjoyed at The Bike Village and dinners are delivered with a smile to your cottage!

Pets

Pets are welcome by arrangement.

Activities and Attractions

Surrounded by mountains and beautiful Bushveld, Summerplace Game Reserve offers hiking and game viewing. There is mountain biking available at Waterberg MTB and horse riding at Waterberg Cottages. Other activities include a visit to Thaba Kwena Crocodile Farm, exploring the Arent Dieperink Museum and a tour of the Geluksfontein Dairy Goat Farm.
