Love is in the air, and the island is buzzing with plenty of ways to celebrate.

Start your weekend on the airwaves with Saint FM Community Radio this coming Friday night. Jonathan and Jolene are hosting a special Valentines Modern & Classic Rock Show starting at 6:00 PM as a way to say thank you to their listeners. The highlight of the evening is a lucky draw prize giveaway where you can win everything from bottles of wine and locally made beer to Valentine’s cakes, chocolate hampers, and even an abstract painting. You can also win gift vouchers from Dan’s Bakery, 1/2 price vouchers from Mantis St Helena, or treat boxes from Solomon’s Bakery and G-Unique Jewelry.

To enter the hat, simply call in with your name between 7:15 PM and 8:30 PM before the big draw takes place at 9:00 PM.

The celebrations continue on Saturday, February 14th, with several fantastic ways to spend your Valentine’s Night. You can feel the love at Donny’s for their extra special red-hot dance party on the deck. The bar opens at 8:30 PM with a Happy Hour party starter, and everyone is encouraged to dress to impress with a touch of red. Please remember that you must have a valid ticket to attend this event. Tickets cost £2 each and can be collected at Donny’s on Thursday the 12th or Friday the 13th between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Mule Yard Entertainment.

If you are looking for a family-focused evening, the Mule Yard is hosting a Valentine’s Family Night starting at 7:00 PM where you can dance the night away with Charlie. They are serving Valentine’s Specials at 6:30 PM for those who pre-order, featuring a menu of T-bone steak, pork chops, or lasagne, followed by pear stew dumplings and custard. You can secure your meal by calling the Snack Bar staff at 22261. Alternatively, you can celebrate the reopening of the Silver Hill Bar starting at 7:30 PM. Music will be provided by DJ Colin Peters for a night of island fun, drinks at the bar, and plenty of dancing.

Shrove Tuesday.

The festivities wrap up on Tuesday, February 17th, as St James Church hosts the annual Pancake Day races in front of the Cannister at 5:30 PM. It promises to be a wonderful family afternoon with pancakes, curry, and rice on sale for everyone to enjoy.
