Benvenuto
Cosy, friendly, lively with fresh seasonal ingredients and delicious wines, that’s us in a nutshell. Teamed by a sister and brother with a Michelin Star background and a passion for food & drink. We have a relaxed atmosphere in the style of an Italian Vinoteca and a local neighbourhood restaurant, where guests can discover innovative food and 40 wines by the glass. Our name ‘Shambles’ (meaning a Butcher’s Stall) is a nod to the history of the grade 11 listed premises, having been an old slaughterhouse/butchers for 250+ years.

We let the ingredients do the talking. Serving high quality, fresh seasonal produce from the British Isles and Italy, with some ingredients grown in our restaurant allotment. We’re mad about pasta and like to follow the philosophy and traditions of Italian cooking, occasionally breaking the rules, but only a little! With the youngsters in mind, we’re now open from 17.00 with a fresh ingredient and healthily cooked children’s menu.
Some great news, we’re now open for Sunday lunch for a delicious classic roast or a Roman style Porchetta.

Wine Bar
100+ strong list with 40 wines by the glass, including 7 different style sparkling wines.
In addition we have recently introduced a new digital wine list, this ‘Little Black Book’ is updated regularly with one-off vintages, both from smaller boutique wineries and iconic producers, occasionally you will find the odd bottle we’re loving right now or a nice little discovery we may have stumbled on.
If wine is not your thing, try our 60 day barrel-aged Negroni, Spritz’s or refreshing non-alcoholic cocktails. If you would just like to have a natter with friends and simply relax and unwind, we’re open all day for cocktails, wine and coffee.
For those looking to escape the office: we open from 10.00am and the bar area makes for a great morning or afternoon work space, there is plenty of sockets, speedy Wi-Fi and coffee on hand, not forgetting a delicious snack menu if you fancied a light bite or nibble.

Outdoor Dining
We have the prettiest outdoor restaurant in Teddington, if not, the Richmond borough and London to enjoy a relaxed al fresco lunch or dinner. Our spacious outdoor terrace, private walled garden, olive trees, wisteria blossoms and vegetable patch, feels like a magical escape. Your well-behaved furry friends, kept on a lead, are welcome outside or in the bar area too.
Planning a celebration: we have an additional private outdoor space for up to 26 guests seated or 50+ standing.
