National Recruiting DRIVE | Science Olympiad (original) (raw)
Science Olympiad has been volunteer-driven since its beginning in 1984. The landscape has vastly changed in the last four decades, with nonprofit volunteerism in the United States dropping at an alarming rate in the last 20 years, according to AmeriCorps research. In order for organizations like Science Olympiad to grow and thrive, we need your time and talent. New to SO? Learn more here.
To celebrate our 40th Anniversary Season, we're launching the Drive to Recruit Interested Volunteers and Experts, or the DRIVE. We'll be searching the nation to find subject matter experts to develop content and act as national and state event supervisors in our six core areas:
- Life and Biological Science
- Earth and Space Science
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Technology and Engineering
- Inquiry and Computer Science
We need alumni who participated in the past, parents in the STEM workforce and those who are new to the game to share their experience now! The amount of time and the type of service you can lend is up to you. Learn more about National Rules Committees here. If you're interested in helping shape the minds of the next generation of STEM leaders, please fill out this brief form below. Thank you!
