About Studio Sweet-Schuler (original) (raw)
Founder and Principal, Lauren Sweet-Schuler is an award-winning interior designer with over 15 years of experience. After receiving a B.A. in Sociology from Arizona State University, Lauren finished her second degree in interior design. Her work has been featured in several publications and graced many magazine covers. She was recognized as top 5 under 40 in the St. Louis design community in 2019. She also previously held a role as an adjunct instructor at STLCC’s interior design department and is currently a member of the department's advisory committee.
In 2022, Lauren launched Studio Sweet-Schuler to focus on her own brand and approach to modern design. The primary elements of SSS are custom streamlined casegoods and cabinetry, quality and iconic modern furniture and modern art. The studio is a creative and collaborative environment filled with textiles, drawings, collected objects and inspiration images. Balancing the creative with the administrative has always been a strength of Lauren’s and is key to Studio Sweet-Schuler’s success.
Outside of the studio, Lauren enjoys time with her husband John, sons Leo and Calvin and their Aussiedoodle, George. Everyone in the family is athletic, so weeknights and weekends are usually filled with sports. Life is full with busy young boys, but finding time to travel somewhere new each year is a family priority. Having gone to school in Arizona, Lauren loves the desert and visits as often as possible. She loves odd and crazy cacti and plants (the weirder the better) and is starting a nice little collection.
