Matteo Salani was born on 1975. He is italian.
He studied at University of studies of Milan. He gets a Master's degree in Computer Science in 2001. In 2006 he obtains the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the same institute with a thesis on Branch and Price algorithms for Vehicle Routing Problems.
In 2006-2009 he is scientific collaborator (PostDoc) at Technical university of Lausanne (Switzerland) at Transp-OR laboratory. From 2010 he is researcher at IDSIA, Manno (Switzerland).
He is interested in exact and heuristic algorithms for combinatorial problems. Quantitative methods for decision support. Applications transportation and logistics, energy management.
He is author of several publications (14 on int. journals, 3 book chapters and "peer-reviewed" con). According to google scholar (Agosto 2012) "Citations : 407, Cited Publications: 31, H-Index: 11"
He received the award top cited article 2005-2010 for "Symmetry helps.." with Righini G.
