Syracuse, N.Y. — JMA Wireless founder and CEO John Mezzalingua says his company is on the cusp of transforming the behind-the-scenes technology that’s a key part of making smartphones work.

To move the company forward on that front, he’s building Syracuse’s first major factory in decades in one of city’s poorest, most neglected neighborhoods.
