KOZLOWSKI SET FOR LIVERPOOL TRANSFER
Liverpool are emerging as favourites to secure the signing of Poland wonderkid Kacper Kozlowski.
The 18-year-old made headlines over the summer by becoming the youngest ever player to appear at the European Championships.
Compared to Kevin de Bruyne, Kozlowski is seen as the biggest Polish talent since the emergence of Robert Lewandowski.
As such, it’s no surprise to see clubs lining up to to sign the Pogon Szczecin star.
Indeed, reports earlier this week claimed Brighton were leading that chase with an initial £8m deal imminent.
However, the Seagulls appear to have been dashed with Polish outlet Super Express claiming Liverpool are likely to beat them to his signature.
Indeed, they state Reds sporting director has topped Brighton’s offer by a further £1.5m. As such, Liverpool are reportedly willing to spend £9.5m to secure Kozlowski in January.
That fee is likely to include a number of incentives and add-ons. Furthermore, he’s likely to see out the season in his homeland.
Now the report claims Pogon Szczecin are ready to accept Edwards’ offer and the midfield gem will become a Liverpool player in a matter of weeks.
The Reds, meanwhile, look finally likely to offload goalkeeper Loris Karius.
As per Kicker, he’s now on the wanted list of German side Furth as they look to replace injured keeper Marius Funk.
Karius is likely to sign for the Bundesliga side on a loan, though a free transfer also cannot be excluded.
