Brother of Everton star claims exit almost certain; picks out next club (original) (raw)

Giovanni Kean, the brother of Everton striker Moise Kean, claims that it will be ‘difficult’ for the player to return to Goodison Park this summer, with an exit looking likely.

The Italy international joined French giants PSG on a season-long loan deal last summer after struggling for game time on Merseyside. He very quickly established himself as a key player for the Ligue 1 outfit, scoring some important goals as Mauricio Pochettino’s men chase silverware at home and in Europe.

Several reports have previously stated that PSG are determined to land Kean in a permanent deal. Indeed, they have already drawn up a plan to sell Mauro Icardi to fund the move.

Juventus have also been linked with a swoop for their former attacker, who they sold to the Toffees for £25million in 2019.

And Giovanni Kean, as quoted by TuttoMercatoWeb, hopes his brother returns to Turin this summer.

He said: “Let’s say that it seems difficult for him to return to Everton, despite the card being owned by the English. I assure you that at PSG he is very comfortable. Then in football you never know, anything can happen.

“As a Juventus fan, I hope Moise will return to Juventus. At the right moment my brother and Raiola will choose the best option.

“Would Moise have been convenient for Andrea Pirlo? Surely. But, apart from my brother, from the outside it seems to me that this year the enthusiasm of the years of great triumphs has been lacking.”

Tom Davies: Carlo Ancelotti has given me guidance

Everton midfielder Tom Davies says Carlo Ancelotti has given him guidance this season, adding his manager - who also played in midfield - has helped to simplify his game.

Despite the preference to return to Italy, it would appear that a permanent switch to PSG seems more likely for Kean.

That is if Everton decide to part company with a player still regarded as a top talent. However, another recent report suggested the Toffees may be ready to cash in.

The announcement of the European Super League could also complicate matters, with Juve one of the 12 clubs initially signed up.

Turkish outfit targets Mina move

Yerry Mina has emerged as a top target for Fenerbahce as his Everton future remains shrouded in mystery, a report claims.

Mina joined Everton from Barcelona in 2018. Appearances in his first season were limited but he has found more continuity over the past couple of years. Even so, his long-term future may lie away from Goodison Park.

Reports earlier this month suggested that Everton were already preparing for Mina’s exit. It was claimed that they would ask for £21.4m to sell him.

In turn, that would allow Carlo Ancelotti to pursue other targets to strengthen their defence. A reunion with Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly is one option, even if the coach has played it down.

Either way, Mina’s future is very much in doubt. And according to Turkiye Gazetesi, one of his potential suitors has now become clear.

The Turkish source claims that Fenerbahce are very keen on Mina. In fact, they have installed him as their preferred target as they look to reinforce their defence.

Mina remains under contract at Goodison until 2023. Hence, there is enough time for Everton to loan him out for a season, which may be the best formula for Fenerbahce.
