Man stabbed near Gowen Post OfficeFree Access
GOWEN — Michigan State Police Lakeview Post troopers responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 11 p.m. Monday near the Gowen Post Office.
The victim, a 34-year-old man, reported that he was stabbed by a 41-year-old man. Troopers determined that both parties are known to one another.
The victim was transported to Corewell Health Greenville Hospital with a laceration to his left shoulder caused by a box cutter-style knife. His injuries are not life-threatening.
The suspect was located and taken into custody.
This appears to be an isolated incident involving individuals familiar with one another and is not believed to pose an ongoing threat to the surrounding area or community, according to police.
The investigation remains ongoing.
