Joseph Zada stars as a young Haymitch, a character later known as the mentor to Katniss Everdeen. The trailer highlights his struggle to survive in a system designed to amplify violence and spectacle, while also hinting at the psychological toll the Games take on its participants.

Ralph Fiennes appears as President Snow, alongside Jesse Plemons as Plutarch Heavensbee and Elle Fanning as Effie Trinket. The ensemble cast also includes Glenn Close, Kieran Culkin, McKenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Whitney Peak and Kelvin Harrison Jr.
