YSRCP steps up campaign over alleged DSC-2025 irregularities (original) (raw)
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) State general secretary and in-charge of affiliated wings Aluru Sambasiva Reddy has called for intensifying the party’s campaign against the alleged irregularities in the DSC-2025 teacher recruitment process conducted by the Andhra Pradesh government.
Addressing a teleconference with office-bearers of the party’s youth and student wings on Sunday, including State committee members, zonal presidents, district presidents and Assembly and mandal-level leaders, Mr. Reddy urged cadres to prominently raise the issue during the “Two Years of Betrayal” protest programmes being organised across the State.
He said the town hall meetings scheduled at constituency headquarters over the next two days should focus on the alleged irregularities in DSC-2025 while also highlighting what the party described as the failures of the TDP-led coalition government.
Mr. Reddy alleged that the government had created high expectations among lakhs of unemployed youth by promising a mega DSC recruitment drive during the elections, but had ultimately disappointed more than three lakh aspirants.
Claiming that serious doubts had emerged over the recruitment process, he said the government had remained silent despite protests by candidates across the State. He further alleged that audio recordings purportedly linked to the recruitment process had surfaced in the public domain, but neither the government nor the Minister concerned had offered any explanation.
The YSRCP leader also expressed concern over the alleged trolling of candidates who met YSRCP president Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy seeking justice. The government’s silence on the issue, he said, had only deepened suspicions.
Demanding a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Mr. Reddy alleged that a “mega scam” may have taken place under the guise of the mega DSC recruitment drive. He said the YSRCP would continue its agitation until the facts were brought to light and those responsible were held accountable.
He also asked party leaders to raise issues affecting youth and students, including pending fee reimbursement dues, lack of employment opportunities and the alleged failure to implement unemployment allowance schemes.
