The WNBA's All-Rookie Team has been announced, shortly after the league made it known that Indiana Fever Caitlin Clark was the overwhelming choice for Rookie of the Year.

She beat out Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese by a large margin, with 66 out of a possible 67 votes going the Fever star's way. Clark's domination among voters is indicative of just how historic a season the 22-year-old had, breaking numerous WNBA records while setting new ones for rookies to break.

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert called Fever head coach Christie Sides to relay the good news to Clark and the rest of her teammates. "You held the Indiana Fever jersey for the first time and what a record-breaking season for you and the entire team full of outstanding performances and I know all of you had hard work and dedication and it's paid off with your playoffs, etc," Engelbert said during the call.

"And I know the best is yet to come. So congratulations Caitlin. You are the 2024 Kia WNBA Rookie of the Year." It wasn't just Clark that broke records this season as Reese also set records of her own, going 15 straight games with a double.

She also broke the record for most double-doubles record by a rookie in league history with 26 and also set the record for most rebounds in a single season by a rookie with 446. Reese also was the fastest player in WNBA history to record 20 double-doubles.

Alongside Clark and Reese as history makers was Rickea Jackson, the Los Angeles Sparks' star rookie. Though she struggled at the start of the season, Jackson truly took off once she was given more opportunity to contribute in light of Cameron Brink's season-ending ACL injury.

In a forgettable season for the Sparks, Jackson broke out in big ways, becoming the third rookie in league history to have 19+ points, 3+ 3-pointers made, 8+ more rebounds, 2+ blocks, and 1+ steal in a single game while shooting 100 percent from the free-throw. Jackson also surpassed Nneka Ogwumike for most points scored by a rookie, finishing the season with 535 total points.

Kamilla Cardoso, Reese's teammate, had a solid season herself, despite the start of her rookie season being delayed by a shoulder injury. In 32 games in Chicago, Cardoso averaged 9.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.4 blocks in 27.4 minutes per game.

Lastly, German forward Leonie Fiebich was named to the All-Rookie team alongside Clark, Reese, Jackson, and Cardoso. Originally drafted by the Sparks, the 24-year-old was traded to the New York Liberty, where she made her mark as a reliable bench presence.

In 30 games in a Liberty jersey, Fiebich averaged 6.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in just over 20 minutes per game. More impressively, she converted on 38.2 percent of her 3-point attempts, showing how deadly she was from beyond the arc.

With how impressive these rookies have been this season, the onus is now on the next wave of rookies to make their mark in the league in their own way. Clark, Reese and Jackson all paved their way and made their mark on their respective teams and the league as a whole.
