Good morning,

Ohio University ninjas will soon be able to achieve their dreams of becoming the next Hokage.

In celebration of the 18th anniversary of the popular Japanese franchise, Naruto, Naruto Run events have been popping up across the globe. The “Naruto Run” refers to the running style in which the series’ characters are depicted sprinting with their hands outstretched behind their backs.

Here at OU, the event “Run like Naruto across College Green” will take place Oct. 13. Inspired by other Naruto Runs on college campuses across the nation, OU students Sarah Luise Schmitz and Annie Crawford will be hosting Athens’ very own Naruto Run.

“It was so funny we had to do one here,” Schmitz, an undecided sophomore, said.

As of press time, the event has more than 100 Facebook RSVPs.

The response to the event has been positive and the meeting place and time will be updated soon on the event’s Facebook page, Schmitz said.

“Believe it,” she said.
