Welcome to The Regency Ballroom.
This stunning room features blonde hardwood floors, a horseshoe-shaped balcony and a built-in stage. Noted as a fine example of Scottish Rite architecture, which includes neoclassic and beaux arts styles, the Regency Building was built in 1909. The Grand Ballroom is a beaux-art treasure with thirty-five foot ceilings and twenty-two turn-of-the-century teardrop chandeliers.

The Regency Ballroom is on the Northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter.
- From the South Bay:
Take the 101 North to the Fell/Mission Street Exit. Turn right off the exit, and left onto Van Ness Avenue. Continue up Van Ness Avenue several blocks to Sutter Street. We are located on the northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter. - From the North Bay:
From the Golden Gate Bridge, take the Lombard Street exit. Continue on Lombard Street to Van Ness Avenue. Take a right turn onto Van Ness Avenue. Continue up several blocks to Sutter Street. We are located on the northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter. - From the East Bay:
From the Bay Bridge, take Highway 80 onto the 101 North. Take the Fell/Mission Street Exit. Turn right off the exit, and left onto Van Ness Avenue. Continue up Van Ness Avenue several blocks to Sutter Street. We are located on the northeast corner of Van Ness & Sutter.
Public Transportation
Because of its central location, the Regency Building is easily accessible by public transportation. Muni bus lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 19, 38, 42, 47, and 49 all stop within a few blocks of the facility.

What We’re Doing
The Regency Ballroom is committed to reducing our environmental impact. We do so through ongoing efforts to save energy and water, purchase environmentally preferable products, and help raise awareness of environmental issues.
The Regency Ballroom is proud to participate in AEG 1EARTH, AEG’s corporate environmental sustainability program. Through AEG 1EARTH, we:
- Exchange environmental best practices with other venues
- Track our environmental performance on a monthly basis, measuring energy consumption, water usage, and waste diversion
- Contribute to AEG’s progress towards its 2020 Environmental Goals
What You Can Do
We’re doing our best to reduce our environmental impact and hope you will join us in our efforts. Here are a few tips to make your visit more environmentally friendly:
