Kensington Palace announced Princess Charlotte would join her brother at school in May.

The school usually charges £6,429 a term – or £19,287 a year – but Princess Charlotte will only be charged £6,305 a term, or £18,915 a year, as she gets a sibling discount.

Simon O'Malley, headmaster at Thomas's Battersea, said: “We are delighted that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have decided that Princess Charlotte will join her elder brother, Prince George, at Thomas's Battersea.

The mixed-gender school has 540 pupils aged four to 13, and focuses on a ‘rounded education’, and offers after-school activities in fencing, gardening and philosophy.

The school, established 50 years ago by David and Joanna Thomas, has locations in Clapham, Fulham and Kensington.

And the royal siblings reportedly ‘lean’ on each other as play dates with outsiders can be ‘tricky’, royal source claims.
