ALL eyes were on Princess Charlotte this morning, as the adorable royal arrived at Thomas' Battersea for her first day of school.

And mum Kate Middleton wasn't the only fashion icon at the school gates today, with Charlotte's new teacher Helen Haslem appearing to channel the Duchess of Cambridge in a pleated polka dot midi dress.

Arriving with mum Kate, dad Prince William and older brother Prince George, four-year-old Charlotte looked happy and excited as she clutched onto Kate's hand this morning.

The princess seemed a little nervous as she hid behind her mum, but in mega cute Charlotte style, gave a sassy hair flick as they walked inside.

And ready to meet the family was Head of Lower School Helen, who was wearing a chic polka dot midi dress by L.K.Bennett, which looked remarkably similar to a style worn by Kate.

Helen appears to have taken fashion inspiration from the royal, with the £250 pleated style bearing a striking resemblance to Kate's £1,750 frock by Allessandra Rich.

One of Kate's favourites, the Duchess has worn the style a number of times, most recently at an exhibition to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day at Bletchley Park.

And it's not the first time Helen has chosen to channel Kate during a royal meeting.

When Prince George started school in 2017, Helen wore a £250 pink V-neck style - again by one of Kate's favourite brands L.K.Bennett - which looked remarkably similar to an Alexander McQueen frock the Duchess had worn in 2014.

The dress featured the same long-sleeved design as well as a flared skirt and V-neck front.

Dad William told Helen that his daughter was "very excited" for her first day.

The youngster will today start reception, joining Prince George, six, who is beginning his third term at the fee-paying school.
