Mike Spencer, Creative Director, Lifted Entertainment said: “Love Island is back and viewers are in for a big treat this summer as we have a villa full of sexy singles heading out to Mallorca all looking for the one.

"We are planning to turn up the heat this series with brand new format elements, an incredible group of Islanders and an Insta worthy villa providing the most stunning backdrop for their summer of love. Strap yourselves in for Love Island series 11."

Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning & Acquisitions and Controller, ITV2, ItvBe said: “Following the hugely successful ‘All Stars’ version this winter, we’re delighted to be returning to the iconic villa in Mallorca for another summer season of the biggest reality show on television.

"After 10 series, I’m delighted to say that this year’s cast of Islanders is as amazing as ever and I can’t wait to see the entertainment and drama they’ll bring to, what will be, a somewhat re-vamped show.”

While Maya is fully committed to a summer of Love, she has dropped a clue that she might be ready to move onto new things.

The in-demand star shared a picture of a half-finished mug of tea with the Netflix logo on it.

The behind-the-scenes snap of her meeting with the streaming giant suggests she is ready to jump ship, just as Emma Willis, Holly Willoughby and most recently Amanda Holden have done before her.

A source said: “On face value, the photo was simply a cup of herbal tea resting on a boardroom table.

“But it was enough to send bosses at ITV reeling.

“She’s a piping-hot commodity and is justified in feeling proud of meeting with Netflix, but the message it sent was crystal clear — Maya is open to offers.”

It is a stab in the back for ITV, who were the first to take Maya from obscure but trendy series including rap panel show Don’t Hate The Playaz into the mainstream.

When she became host of Love Island in January 2023, it sealed her place among the UK showbiz elite and boosted her capital tenfold.

She went from brand deals with Freya, Pretty Little Thing and JD Sports to Dolce & Gabbana and gracing the cover of Vogue.

And it has taken her Stateside, where she helmed the global spin-off Love Island Games.

ITV also made her dreams come true by installing her as host of The Brit Awards, with her posting online at the time: “I wrote down a list of goals as a presenter and this was the final one I had to tick off.”
