Deaths
CHETWYND Captain Rupert Milo Talbot Chetywnd died on 26th April 2021, aged 87. He was educated at Stowe School from 1947. In 1952 he joined the Grenadier Guards and was made a 2nd Lieutenant, afterwards joining the Guards Parachute Company and then the 21st SAS Regiment.
He had his own successful advertising agency, Chetwynd’s, in London. In 2005 he published Yesterday’s Enemy, Freedom Fighters or Terrorists, an account of his time in Afghanistan in the 1980s. Over the past 20 years, he worked with Conflicts Forum and The Institute of Statecraft.
The funeral service will be held at the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Ingestre, Staffordshire, at 11.00am on 27th May 2021.

CLARKE Mary-Rose Clarke (née Rice), of Woking, Surrey, died on 21st April 2021, aged 77, in hospital after a short illness. Dear wife for 45 years of her beloved Michael and an inspiration to her nephews and nieces, she left her native Dublin to fly the world for 30 years, with BOAC and British Airways, including memorable years on Concorde, retiring as a cabin services director. At her request, there will be no funeral.

COLLIN Raymond Taylor, died peacefully on 2nd May 2021, aged 91. Beloved and loving husband of Eleanor, father of Jane, Sarah, Liz and Deb, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather. FETHERSTON-GODLEY Josie (née Cross) died peacefully on 29th April 2021, aged 89, at home, dearly loved mother of Oliver, James and Charlotte, proud grandmother and step-grandmother. FRICKER Margaret (née Snellgrove) on 2nd May 2021, aged 97. Died in Cheltenham on 2nd May 2021, aged 97. Deeply beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Private family funeral. Donations to NSPCC.

HOLT Thelma (née Conn) passed away peacefully on 21st April 2021, aged 73, at Cavendish Court Nursing Home Alderley Edge. Thelma, the much-loved wife of Will, adored by children Rebecca and Edward and granddaughter Emilia. The funeral held at Macclesfield Crematorium on 29th April 2021 was a joyous celebration of Thelma’s faith and life and the fortitude with which she bore the burdens of late-stage Parkinson’s.

KILPATRICK Anne (née West) on 30th April 2021, aged 93. Peacefully at home following a short illness, bravely fought. Beloved wife of the late Allan (Tigs) Kilpatrick. Previously of Chiddingfold. KOCHAN David on 2nd May 2021, aged 59. David was a warm, generous person. We could not have asked for a better friend. He was an inspiration to all who knew him across the globe. He will be sorely missed but forever in our hearts and thoughts. Belinda, Jeremy and all the family.
