Set in the Kings Domain Gardens, Sidney Myer Music Bowl is a popular summertime venue that hosts everything from Piknic Électronik to Carols by Candlelight, as well as free summertime concerts. The centrepiece of the gardens is a live music hub for some of Melbourne's best summer events, and has featured headline gigs from some of the world's biggest music acts.
Over 2,000 seats are available under the sweeping canopy, but the vast grass lawn leading down to the main amphitheatre can extend that capacity to over 10,000 punters. As Melbourne's largest outdoor performance space, it has been a warm weather mainstay since 1959.

Cold Chisel is going on a national tour around Oz to celebrate their 50th anniversary, and we’re pleased to say it’s stopping in Melbourne. If spending the day in the sun listening to electro tunes sounds like your idea of a good time, you're in luck. After making its Aussie debut in 2023 following huge international success, Palm Tree Music Festival returns with an epic line-up of global artists. Headlining the festival (and visiting Down Under for the first time in five years) is the Grammy Award-winning duo of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, aka The Chainsmokers. They will be joined by Swedish DJ and producer Alesso, who's best known for hits like 'Heroes' and 'Under Control'. Also on the line-up are Gryffin, Austin Millz and Daya, with more to be announced. This massive music event will hit Sydney on December 6, Brisbane on December 7, and finally Melbourne on December 8. Taking place at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl, audiences can expect a day of good vibes and even better music.
