On Saturday, the Alabama Sports Writers Association (ASWA) released the 2024 All-State team for each classification and athletes from Goshen, Pike County, Pike Liberal Arts School and Ariton all made All-State teams.

From Goshen, senior quarterback Jayden McNabb earned First-Team Class 2A All-State honors as an athlete, while senior linebacker Landon Chandler was named Second-Team All-State. As a quarterback, McNabb amassed 1,668 yards and 24 touchdowns rushing, while also throwing for 752 yards and eight touchdowns. He also recorded 36 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, two sacks and one interception on defense. Chandler led the Goshen defense with 120 tackles, 13 tackles-for-loss, one sack, three forced fumbles and a safety.

For Pike County, senior defensive back Khalil Foster was named to the Class 4A All-State First-Team, while punter Arturo Perez-Hernandez was named All-State Honorable Mention. Foster was among the state’s interceptions leaders with seven picks this season to go along with 69 tackles, three tackles-for-loss and eight pass breakups. Perez-Hernandez averaged 40.5 yards-per-punt on 34 punts in 2024.

For Pike Lib, senior defensive end Rhodes Baker earned Second-Team 2A All-State honors, while senior running back Dalton Jordan also earned Honorable Mention. Baker tallied 130 tackles, seven tackles-for-loss and four sacks, while Jordan rushed for 1,464 yards and 17 touchdowns on 199 carries.

For Ariton, senior offensive lineman Jamarion Govan and junior defensive lineman Gabe Jones were both named to the 2A Second-Team All-State.

Also, former Charles Henderson star Zion Grady, a Troy native, earned Class 7A First-Team All-State honors with Enterprise. This is his third consecutive season earning All-State honors. The Ohio State signee totalled 70 tackles, 28 tackles-for-loss and 14 sacks for the Wildcats.
