USD’s Xuejun Wang Receives Carl J. Wiggers Award
Xuejun Wang, M.D., Ph.D., professor and director of the USD Sanford School of Medicine’s M.D./Ph.D. program, has received the Carl J. Wiggers Award from the American Physiological Society during the American Physiological Summit held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in April.

A Week of Service and Learning for USD Undergraduates in Guatemala
Eleven undergraduates in health-related majors from the University of South Dakota traveled to Guatemala in March to provide clinical outreach to children in Mayan villages surrounding Lake Atitlán, a large volcanic lake in the country’s highlands.
