New video footage has surfaced of Sean “Diddy” Combs physically assaulting Cassie Ventura years ago.

CNN has obtained and shared a surveillance video from March 5, 2016, of the mogul hitting his then-girlfriend repeatedly. The clip begins with Cassie carrying a bag down the hallway of the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles, and heading to the elevators. Combs catches up to her, grabs her by the back of the neck, and throws her to the floor. He turns around and kicks Ventura again as she lies motionless.

The video corroborates the “Me & U” singer’s claims made in her bombshell November 2023 lawsuit, where she accused the Bad Boy founder of rape, physical and mental abuse, sexual battery, sexual assault, and more.

As the disturbing video continues, Diddy drags Cassie from in front of the elevators and into the hallway. It then shows a clip of Diddy grabbing a glass vase and throwing it at Cassie, an event that was detailed in the November lawsuit.

Cassie’s lawyer Douglas Wigdor has shared a statement about the new video. “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behavior of Mr. Combs. Words cannot express the courage and fortitude that Ms. Ventura has shown in coming forward to bring this to light,” reads the statement, according to legal reporter Meghann Cuniff.

The aforementioned lawsuit was settled one day after the civil case was filed. The statement said they had reached a deal “to their mutual satisfaction” that Friday evening, but no terms of the agreement were disclosed.

Cassie’s lawsuit started a domino effect of accusations and suits thrown Diddy’s way ever since. The producer is currently involved in a lawsuit accusing him of raping a then 17-year-old girl in 2003. On Friday (May 10), Jonathan D. Davis, the attorney representing Sean Combs, filed a request to dismiss the suit and claimed the legal doc was a “false and hideous claim” that was untimely filed.

“This stunt is intended to prominently showcase a baseless and time-barred claim, which was designed to cause the Combs Defendants unwanted publicity, embarrassment, and financial costs, so Plaintiff could extract an undeserved financial recovery from them,” Combs’ motion read.
