Anyone who has ever stepped of the lift at the ‘Lünerseebahn’ at an altitude of 1,970m will know that the Lünersee is turquoise blue. On some days it almost looks like the blue of the South Seas, where the palm trees are replaced by high alpine peaks. On other days, when the wind ruffles the surface water, it has a milky shimmer the colour of a true turquoise mineral. So the question is whether the Lünersee is turquoise from everywhere?
