Pontcysyllte Aqueduct – designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2009 – can be found in the county, as well as Chirk Castle, parts of which date back to the 13th century. Wrexham’s historic connections with the iron industry can be explored at Bersham Ironworks and Heritage Centre.
