Police update after two bodies found in Cardiff house (original) (raw)

Police have confirmed that the bodies of a man and woman were found at a house in Cardiff. Investigations are continuing after police were called to a property in the Trowbridge area of the city on Saturday.

They confirmed on Sunday that two bodies were discovered in the semi-detached house in Morfa Crescent at around 2.50pm on Saturday. On Monday they confirmed that the bodies of a man and woman had been found.

A statement from South Wales Police said: "Next of kin are being supported and enquiries are on-going to establish the cause and circumstances of their deaths." For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter.

A spokesperson added: "Formal identification and post-mortem examinations will take place in due course. The local community is thanked for its patience and understanding while cordons remain in place."

Forensic officers were at the scene over the weekend and a cordon was put in place as investigations continued.
