Police want to speak to this woman after girl, 14, ‘hit in the head’ on train (original) (raw)

A girl was reportedly assaulted while travelling on board a train in Wales, police have said. British Transport Police said the girl, 14, was hit in the head by a woman on a train travelling from Colwyn Bay to Rhyl in North Wales on Friday, August 30.

Police say the incident happened at around 8.20pm before the woman got off the train at Rhyl. Officers have now released a CCTV image of a woman who they believe might have information which could help with their investigation.

In a statement the force asked for help with their investigation. They said: “Officers would like to speak to the woman pictured as they believe she may have information which could help with their investigation.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 2400095981 of 30 August. Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
