Cristiano Ronaldo's Madrid hotel is currently on a hiring spree, promising successful candidates some enticing benefits.

The football legend first ventured into the hospitality sector in 2015, partnering with Pestana Hotel Group and fellow Madeiran Dionisio Pestana, reportedly investing an initial sum close to £30million. Fast forward nearly a decade and the former Manchester United star now owns five separate establishments under his CR7 brand in Madrid, Funchal, Lisbon, Marrakech and New York.

In Spain's capital, where he enjoy immense success with Real, Ronaldo's Pestana CR7 Gran Via has given a glimpse into what it's like to work for the superstar through their recruitment process. Situated on one of Madrid's bustling streets, CR7 Gran Via is currently looking for waiters, supervisors, receptionists, bar assistants and junior waiters all applicants must have a high level of English and a vocational qualification.

Launched in 2021 post-pandemic, the hotel offers a range of perks to staff, including a permanent contract with restaurant tickets and a discounted rate for visits to any of the group's other locations, according to the Express.

Salaries starting just above £25,000, complete with 50 days of holiday, a birthday bonus and a 25% discount across hotel bars and restaurants are part of the package for successful applicants. The roles also come with complimentary health insurance, adding to an already attractive offer.

Ronaldo shared his vision for project in a 2015 interview with CNBC, saying: "I was always dreaming to have my own hotel."

He lauded the Pestana Hotel Group and its founder/chairman Dionisio Pestana, declaring that partnering with one of Portugal's leading figures in tourism was the perfect entry into the business.

"In my opinion, he's [Pestana] the best guy to do business with in Portugal," added Ronaldo. "He's from Madeira too, so it was a good partnership. He has experience, not just in Portugal but all over the world... Dionisio is the number one [in hotels] and I'm the number one in football. So we have everything.

"I'm 100% sure that this is going to be different from others because of my name, the way I live, my ambitions, Dionisio's ambition too. Between this base of people who like me, the people who follow me I think we have all the ingredients to do it.

"My ambition is kind of like in football, to be better and better. As you know, football is not for your whole life. I want other things."
