Giant 2kg Quality Street box reduced in Amazon Prime Day deal (original) (raw)

Amazon has launched a special deal on Quality Street chocolates, perfect for early birds looking to prepare for Christmas. For a limited time, a 'bulk box' containing 2.1kg (2,100g) of the well-loved chocolates is available for only £18.

Offering substantial savings from the regular price of £25.99, the Quality Street Assorted Chocolates Bulk Sharing Pack is described as "a great solution for parties and events." It also provides a good deal for those wanting to stockpile their festive favourites ahead of December.

For comparison, shoppers would have to purchase four 600g tubs from supermarkets—such as Asda, Tesco, or Morrisons—which are currently around £6 each, to match the chocolate quantity Amazon offers. While this supermarket sweep would give you an additional 300g of chocolate over the bulk box option, you'd be forking out £24 overall, which would leave you £6 worse off.

This sale ends on October 9 and is part of Amazon's Big Deal Day. Like previous Prime Day events, it offers members exclusive access to significant discounts on a wide range of products.

The box features all the classic Quality Street treats, including "The Purple One," "The Green Triangle," the Toffee Finger, Strawberry Delight, Orange Chocolate Crunch, and the Toffee Penny. However, it notably excludes the Coffee Crème, which remains exclusive to the Pick and Mix stations found in John Lewis stores during the festive period, reports the Mirror.

Customers have been heaping praise on a bargain find, sharing glowing reviews on Amazon. One satisfied customer remarked: "Excellent quality good even selection of all of all your favourite chocolate."

Another commented: "Amazing for the price. The chocolates are in separate bags which is handy if you want to gift them. They arrive in a box instead of having the plastic tub."

A third shared: "Your typical Quality Street collection, just a lot bigger. Quality Street chocolates is the closest you'll get to heaven on Earth so this was well received!"

However, not all feedback was positive, with some shoppers encountering problems. One reported: "Bought mine in September planning to put away but I've only git till October to finish them!"

Another expressed disappointment when their chocolates arrived "rock hard". A third voiced concerns over an unusual flavour, stating their sweets had a "weird taste" and "not like you'd expect from Quality Street".

Similar bulk boxes are also available on Amazon for those looking to stock up on festive favourites. Celebrations fans can grab a 2.4kg box for £28, while a hefty 2kg box of Heroes costs £20.89.

Other chocolate delights come in large packs, too, perfect for Christmas gatherings or as gifts for chocolate aficionados. For instance, a 1kg bag of Lindt Milk Chocolate Truffles (which works out to 80 balls a bag) costs £19.95.

Amazon's Big Deal Days are closing at midnight tonight (October 9). Shoppers can explore all the deals by visiting the Amazon website here.
