Gary Sutton joined the WBAL Radio team as a talk show host in 2025, hosting Saturday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

An undergraduate at Mansfield University, Gary earned a Master’s in Educational Administration from Western Maryland College (now McDaniel) along with a Principal’s certificate.

Broadcasting came calling soon after, and Gary has hosted morning radio in Pennsylvania for nearly 3 decades, earning multiple Associated Press awards for best news and sports broadcasts in Pennsylvania.

He’s covered key moments across 5 Presidential administrations and counts among his interviews names like Barack Obama, George W. Bush, John McCain, Mitt Romney, and Hillary Clinton.

He’s also called more than 250 High School State Basketball Championship games, earning him entry into the Susquehanna Chapter of the Pennsylvania Hall of Fame and the York Sportsnight Hall of Fame.

Originally from Fremont, Ohio, Gary has been a longtime resident of York, PA, where lives with his wife and their cats.

He loves reading, learning, and engaging in civil conversations and debates.

Gary says that he never feels like he’s working when he’s on the radio, as his passion drives him every day.
