Frontier Airlines launching service from Buffalo (original) (raw)
Local travelers will soon have another option to chose from when booking travel to and from Buffalo.
Frontier Airlines, a low-cost carrier based in Denver that flies to more than 60 destinations, will begin service at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport later this year.
The airline's website is already accepting reservations for nonstop flights to Denver, Miami, Tampa, Orlando and Fort Myers as early as December 6th.
Fares will begin at $39.
Frontier will operate the new routes using Airbus A320s. Buffalo is one of 21 new cities that will be serviced by Frontier.
Miami is currently the only new Florida destination not serviced by the Buffalo Niagara airport.
The addition of Frontier will immediately bolster options for travelers flying out of Western New York.
The airport has seen the number of airlines on its roster shrink in recent years as Continental merged with United, Northwest merged with Delta, and American gobbled up U.S. Airways.
Here is the new service schedule for Frontier's service to and from Buffalo:
Denver
- Service begins spring 2018. Frequency of flights to be determined.
Ft. Myers
- Service begins December 10th with flights Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday.
Miami
- Service begins December 10th with flights Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday.
Orlando
- Service begins December 10th with flights daily.
Tampa
- Service begins December 6th with flights Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday.
