Melissa, I’m sorry for the late response. I didn’t see your comment until now. The person who built and maintained this blog retired and we are also dealing with staff shortages due to the COVID crisis.

When you have a special ed problem, especially a compelling case, you need to look for attorneys who are experienced in special education law and litigation. I can suggest two sources that may help you.

Go to the Wrightslaw Yellow Pages for Kids with Disabilities. Click your state. You will find attorneys who practice special education law in 49 of 50 states.

An excellent source for attorneys who specialize in this area is the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA). COPAA maintains a directory of attorneys and advocates so this may be the best resource for you.
